Director Quentin Tarantino has axed plans to shoot a new Western after the script was leaked.

Tarantino axes Western after script leak

The Pulp Fiction filmmaker was in the early stages of putting together his next movie, The Hateful Eight, and gave a first draft of his script to just a handful of people.

However, Tarantino was shocked to discover his team had been bombarded with calls from agents putting up their clients for roles, and he is convinced a copy of the script has been circulating around Hollywood.

The screenwriter/director admits he is fuming over the leak and has now cancelled work on the project.

He tells Deadline.com: "I'm very, very depressed. I finished a script, a first draft, and I didn't mean to shoot it until next winter, a year from now.

"I gave it to six people, and apparently it's gotten out today.. (Someone) has now passed it on to everyone in Hollywood.

"I don't know how these f**king agents work, but I'm not making this next. I'm going to publish it, and that's it for now. I give it out to six people, and if I can't trust them to that degree, then I have no desire to make it.

"I'll publish it. I'm done. I'll move on to the next thing. I've got 10 more where that came from."
