George Cunningham's interview with UTV reporter Charles Witherspoon became the stuff of legends after he spoke at a mile-a-minute when asked for his opinion on the town's high unemployment.

Witherspoon could barely get a question in as 'the fast talker' told him exactly what he thought of the lack of jobs in the area.

The clip has been shown numerous times all over the world including the TV blooper show, It'll Be Alright on the Night.

Mr Cunningham, of Mourne Place, Strabane, died peacefully at Woodmount Nursing Home on Tuesday.

Filmed in the early to mid sixties and not the 70s. I have heard one local radio presenter in my view that can talk nearly as quick! Sorry to hear of Mr Cunninghams passing.
