The dancing show begins on UTV on Saturday and will see six celebrities, along with their real-life partners, battle it out on the dance floor each week.
Featuring in the programme will be Irish singer Brian McFadden, Loose Women star Denise Welch, Ortisé Williams of JLS, flamboyant interior designer Laurence Llewelyn Bowen, boxer Carl Froch and actress Glynis Barber.
And, as Davina explained to This Morning's Eamonn and Ruth, it is a whole different set-up when you are dancing with the one you love.
She said: "If you are learning with someone that you don't know that well, then you keep it under control, but if you are learning with your partner, then it's a disaster.
"Learning with your partner can be awful and it can also be really frustrating, but it can also be magic."
As well as facing the daunting dance routines, each couple will also have to face the 'Front Row' judges , who will offer feedback and give individual 'him and hers' scores revealing who has impressed them and who needs to put their dancing shoes back on.
"We've got Wayne Sleep, who is amazing and he is quite tough," Davina said.
"We have got Jason Gardiner, who we all know from Dancing on Ice - and I am slightly terrified of him. And of course we've got Mel B and she is going to tell us a bit more from the performance side of things.
"It's quite a tough panel."
The dancing couples will be joined by a weekly mix of celebrities, performers from stage and screen, choreographers, and family friends throughout the show's run.
From week two - when the couples are dancing to keep their place on the show - the Front Row scores will be combined with the viewers vote and the bottom couple will be sent home.
Stepping Out starts on UTV this Saturday at 6.30pm.
