Singer Sam Smith appears to address his sexuality in the music video for his new single Leave Your Lover.

Smith addresses sexuality in new video

The Money on my Mind hitmaker released the promo on Thursday, and seemingly settled rumours he is gay by playing out a love triangle in the emotional clip.

The video stars Smith, UK model Daisy Lowe and another male as they enjoy a night out on the town, whilst flirting with each other throughout the scenes.

The unrequited love song features the lyrics: "Leave your lover/leave him for me", and as the video progresses, it shows that Smith is not suggesting Lowe's character splits from her partner, but rather the man break-up from his boyfriend to be with him.

The video comes just weeks after the 21-year-old BRIT Award winner denied reports he is dating Lowe, saying: "No, she's not (my girlfriend).

"Daisy is one of my closest friends at the moment. She is lovely. I love her to bits. She is the most beautiful thing in the world as well. She is one of my closest friends."
