The former Coronation Street has been picked by the public each night and, until now, had failed to win a single meal for the camp, with the celebs getting angrier and hungrier on their diet of rice and beans.
The young actress failed four trials - and controversially refused to take part in a fifth - with other celebrities starting to challenge her on her decision to take part in the show.
Ahead of her sixth trial, the campmates put serious pressure on Helen, with Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts admitting to being "a bit more honest and aggressive because we want her to go out there and win for herself and for us."
Eastenders actress Charlie Brooks said: "We've all shown her a bit of tough love today and hopefully she'll come back with the stars."
"She's got to think about the team. She's got to because everyone's starving now."
Made In Chelsea star Hugo Taylor agreed: "To motivate someone, if being nice and softly, softly doesn't work then you've got to nail it into them."
I really want the camp to be proud of me. I want to get 12 stars. I really, really want this. I'm determined not to be scared and determined to do it.
Boxing champ David Haye made sure Helen felt the pressure. "Are you feeling the pressure today more that ever?" He asked her.
"I'm having palpitations" she responded. "Good" said David. "It didn't really matter before. Now we're hungry."
"We're really hungry now," added MP Nadine Dorries.
"She's walked out with the right mind set today," assured David. "She knows what's at stake."
During the trial, Helen put her head in a Perspex box filled with jungle critters whilst simultaneously manoeuvring stars across a maze. When she reached the other end, she had to pull a star out of the box with her teeth.
Each box gave her the chance to win two stars.
The first box contained mixed lizards. The second box contained a cocktail of critters - scorpions, crickets, cockroaches and millipedes.
"I do not want to know what is in it," she told Ant and Dec.
In the next box were spiders, while the fourth box contained soldier crabs. "They could nip a bit" warned Dec.
Next up was a box containing 10,000 cockroaches which crawled over her face, hair and the top half of her body.
"Who are you and what have you done with Helen Flanagan? " Joked Ant as she put her head in the sixth and final box which contained five carpet pythons, winning 12 stars for camp.
"I'm so happy. I've never been so happy" she shouted jumping up and down.
"I've never been so proud of myself ever. I feel on cloud nine," she added.
Back in the camp, Helen ran in shouting "I got 12", as the celebrities cheered in amazement.
"I was completely in shock" said Ashley. "I was flabbergasted."
David said: "I couldn't believe it. Everybody was dumbfounded. Nobody could understand how or why. Everybody was shocked."
Eric Bristow, who expected Helen to fail again, said he was "taken aback", while Charlie predicted: "We're going to have a feast".
Wallaby meat was delivered into the camp and TV Chef Rosemary cooked the meal to celebrate Helen's success.
But it wasn't the end of the ordeal for the young actress, as she was voted by the public to take part in her seventh trial - in front of a live television audience on Sunday night. She was cheered on by her fellow campmates and managed to win five stars.
