During an interview on the programme last month, Sinitta told Phillip and Holly that she felt betrayed by the X Factor boss following the news that he was expecting his first child with New York socialite Lauren Silverman.
And since her appearance a number of stories about the pair have been reported, including the revelation that Sinitta had an abortion while she was with Cowell.
It was claimed the singer had the termination as recently as 2009, and did so without telling Cowell.
Wanting to set the record straight, Sinitta said that while she did have an abortion when she was with Cowell, it was in the 1980s and he was very much a part of the decision.
"I don't know who is putting these stories out there but it really does need to stop", she told Phillip and Holly.
"I think I have made it worse by trying to defend myself.
"I didn't put this story out there. Plus all the other stories, I'm not paid an allowance by Simon, he doesn't supply my lifestyle.
"If I have been paid money by him it is for work I have legitimately done.
"People think I am on some sort of crazy payroll and I have to behave in a certain way - all this stuff, that I am living off of him, it does get to you in the end."
Despite the recent negative attention she has received regarding her comments on Cowell's upcoming fatherhood, Sinitta insists that they are still very much friends.
"It hasn't really affected Simon and me at all," she said.
"It has just affected me and I think it has been unkind.
"It's just been embarrassing and it's been exhausting because I think I did get caught up in it and you are trying to defend yourself."
Phillip asked the singer would it not be better to leave the situation alone and not reply to any negative attention.
"I just want the negative stories to stop," she told him.
"I thought it was important, that if people knew the truth they would stop attacking me."
