Sharon's appeal comes after the Over 25 contestant performed a rendition of Celine Dion's 'My Heart Will Go On' during the movie themed live show.
"I'm really, really hoping and praying that Simon Cowell is watching this show," Sharon told the former prison officer.
"He needs to sign you right now," she added.
Following Sam's performance, the X Factor studio audience were on their feet cheering, delaying the Judges in giving Sam their feedback.
"The people have spoken," Gary told her.
"A couple of years ago I went to Las Vegas and I saw Celine Dion, you sang that song better than her."
Nicole added: "All we need to do is hear you sing - you are Great Britain's Celine Dion."
Sam is the last Over 25 act left in the competition after Lorna Simpson was voted out in week one with Shelley Smith following her in week two.
Simon Cowell left the X Factor judging panel in 2010 to concentrate on the US version of the programme.
Media reports have suggested he will return to the panel next year, following Gary Barlow's announcement that he will be leaving after the current series.
