Rixton prepare for global success

The UK's newest boyband have already achieved the impossible by making an impression on the American charts and they have been speaking to This Morning about tackling the UK and the rest of the world.

The four piece, who have been together for five years, explained to presenters Marvin and Rochelle Humes how they got their big break - which was, in part, thanks to Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun.

Band member Jake said: "We were in a studio in London and he called me out of the blue, but I saw an American number on my phone and literally felt my phone bill melt in my hand.

"I picked up and I thought it was someone pranking me because we've been a band for five years and nothing like that has ever happened to us before.

"And he was like 'I'm coming to London tomorrow to meet you boys'.

"Proper showbiz - so we did lunch," he joked.

Signing to an American label meant the boys headed straight for the US and their debut single Me And My Broken Heart went on to makes huge waves thanks to a certain presenter...

Jake revealed: "Ryan Seacrest just starting playing the song and it just started picking up and I think that if you have a little pocket of hope of breaking America, I think you've just got to take it and run."

As the band prepares for global success and the fame that goes with it, Jake may have a bit more of an idea of what they are in for than the rest of his bandmates, as his dad is soap star Shane Richie and mum is Loose Women panelist Colleen Nolan.

Speaking about his parent's support, he said: "They just want me to kind of learn on the job really, just take each day as it comes and to just enjoy it."
