Ray Quinn crowned final ice champion

Ray Quinn has been crowned the champion of champions in the final ever series of Dancing On Ice.

The actor took the all-star trophy after winning the public vote against Coronation Street actress Hayley Tamaddon.Following the announcement, Ray told hosts Phillip Schofield and Christine Bleakley: "This feels so good."I am proper buzzing, I am absolutely over the moon - the drinks are on me!"Ray took the time to thank his partner Maria Fillipov dedicating his win to the professional skater.The pair started the night with their beach themed showcase routine which earned them their first perfect score of the final.Judge Jason Gardiner told Ray he really knew how to "get the crowd going", adding: "You are so in command with your skating, you are so in command with your technique. You are an absolute star."Ray and Maria also performed their favourite routine from the series which was their flamenco inspired dance, again earning 40 points out of 40.Ray, quite simply, you are the master.Jason GardinerKaren Barber said: "That was absolutely breathtaking, there was so much passion. That was a champion's performance."Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle was eliminated from the competition following the first public vote, but not before performing her American themed showcase and her Highland themed favourite routine.Beth earned her first perfect scores of the series with her showcase performance, with Robin Cousins telling her she danced with such "confidence and power".Meanwhile Jason said: "That's what we have been waiting for! That was a final worthy performance."Hayley also performed her showcase routine as well as her favourite dance to The Pussycat Dolls' Jai Ho.Jason told her: "That was a legendary performance."Beth's elimination left Ray and Hayley to battle it in the final round with their Bolero performances.You have really shown your passion and commitment to one another.Karen Barber to Hayley and DanMade famous by ice skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean 30 years ago, both couples brought their own versions of the routine to the ice.Jason Gardiner described Hayley and partner Dan Whiston's routine as "so sincere and so authentic", with Karen adding: "You have such commitment to each other."After Ray and Maria performed their Bolero, Ashley Roberts told them: "I honestly could watch you all night."With the judges relenting that they could not say anything more about their fantastic skating, Robin told them: "You had nothing to prove with that performance, other than to say that you love being on the ice with Maria."The final ever episode of Dancing On Ice was celebrated with the return of many past contestants from the show's nine year run appearing in the audience.This year's celebrities also made a return to the ice in a special send off for the show.The programme opened with Phillip and Christine making their much anticipated ice debut, with the judges following suit and performing a small routine for the delighted audience.But it was Torvill and Dean's final ever performance of the Bolero on the show that was the huge showcase of the night, with this year's celebrities and professional skaters providing a masquerade themed back-up for the pair.And there we go, it's done.
