Pulp to be honoured for music career

The Common People hitmakers reunited last year for a series of concerts, including a performance at top British festival Glastonbury, and they will play live at the prizegiving to celebrate their special honour.

NME editor Krissi Murison says: "Pulp are one of the wittiest, cleverest and most brilliant bands the UK has ever produced."

The band will receive the award at the ceremony at London's O2 Academy Brixton on 29 February.
