Prince Andrew to climb down tallest building

The Duke of York, Queen Elizabeth II's second son and fourth in line to the throne, will descend from the 1,016-foot (309-metre) The Shard landmark in London on 3 September.

The prince will join a group of daredevils who have signed up to leap off the skyscraper's 87th floor to pull in £1m for The Outward Bound Trust and the Royal Marines Charitable Fund Trust.

He tells the Daily Express newspaper: "I am delighted to lead the descent."
