Katie Price will not be making a statement to police over claims she was raped by an unnamed celebrity.

Surrey Police said no allegation of rape had been made and the star - aka Jordan - would not be making a statement.

A spokesman said police had visited her on Thursday night in relation to reports in the media of bogus police officers visiting her on Wednesday afternoon, explaining: "We can now confirm no police officers attended her address on Wednesday, bogus or otherwise."

Claims the 31-year-old glamour model was attacked by a "famous celebrity" first surfaced in her national magazine column and in a subsequent interview.

Katie said she would "absolutely never" name the celebrity and had no plans to make an official report to police. But it was reported on Wednesday that she let the alleged attacker's name slip off air during filming of her ITV2 reality show What Katie Did Next.

The star first made the revelation after newspaper stories appeared about her boyfriend Alex Reid allegedly filming a rape scene for a forthcoming movie.

The model, who recently divorced singer Peter Andre, said reporting the matter to police is a "hard thing to do".

The attack is said to have taken place several years ago after a party in London's West End following a series of secret dates between Katie and the unnamed man.

Speculation over the identity continues to grow and the star said she realised her comments would spark a guessing game.
