The giant Obel tower on the city's waterfront took on the appearance of a pint of famous stout on Tuesday night.
The stunt by brewers Guinness was achieved with the help of the building's residents, who turned their lights on and off as required to create the familiar black body and white top.
It was staged to promote the brand's Arthur's Day on Thursday, when bands will play at venues across Belfast and throughout Ireland to celebrate the life of the drink's founder - Arthur Guinness.
Artists Mumford & Sons, Primal Scream, Example, Tinie Tempah, Ellie Goulding, Texas, Fun Lovin' Criminals, Amy McDonald, Fatboy Slim, Professor Green and Mika are among those set to perform.
