The pair have grown closer since Tina began working for Peter as a nanny to his son Simon and it wasn't long before their attraction to each other became clear.
With his fiancée Carla Connor wrapped up in wedding plans, Peter was left dealing with his feelings for Tina and questioning whether or not he actually wants to go ahead with the wedding.
But when the time comes will he say "I do" or does the kiss mean the end of Peter and Carla?
This Morning's soap expert Sharon Marshall went behind-the-scenes on the big day and asked Coronation Street actor Chris Gascoyne, who plays Peter, will his character make the right decision.
"(Peter's) problem is he gets to that point where he talks about being happy and he can't let himself be happy," he said.
"I don't know why, that's the one question that I can't answer.
"He does love Carla; she adores her and is madly in love with her."
But Peter is no stranger to marriage, having exchanged nuptials four times in the past, and this may be a bad omen for Carla.
"With Carla it has been different," said Alison King, who plays Carla.
"He is everything to her; he is completely the love of her life.
"So we get to the big day and she wonders if he is going to turn up, so she is so relieved that he is there."
