Peaches Geldof married her musician fiance on Saturday at the same church where her parents held a wedding blessing in 1986.

Peaches Geldof marries

The socialite wed rocker Tom Cohen at St Mary Magdalene and St Lawrence Church in the village of Davington in Kent, England, where her father Bob Geldof and mother Paula Yates had their union blessed following their nuptials in Las Vegas.

The church also held poignant memories for the 23-year-old as it was where her mother's funeral took place in 2000.

After the ceremony, the couple hosted a reception at her nearby childhood home, where dad Bob still lives.

In the lead up to her big day, Geldof wrote on Twitter: "Very soon my engagement ring will have a wedding band under it! So excited - my last few days of not being a wife!"

The marriage comes just five months after the star gave birth to the couple's first child, a son named Astala, in April.

It is the second wedding for Geldof - she previously married musician Max Drummey in Las Vegas in 2008, just a month after they first met. They split after six months of marriage.
