Oscars dress sells for thousands

A designer dress worn by Natalie Portman at the Oscars ceremony last month has sold for $50,000 (£31,250).
The Black Swan actress sported the vintage 1954 Christian Dior gown on the red carpet and as she presented the Best Actor Academy Award to Jean Dujardin.
The strapless red frock went on sale online after the ceremony and has been snapped up by a London-based businessman, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.
