Zayn, Harry, Louis, Niall and Liam have come up with a great, fun challenge for 1D fans to be part of.

If you help the band reach their donation target, Text Santa will share One Direction's festive video to say a big "Thank You!"

We're pretty sure it will also get you in the Christmas mood.

This year's charities are Age UK, Barnardo's, BeatBullying, British Heart Foundation, CLIC Sargent and Help the Hospices.

One Direction said: "Just £2 could make a big difference to families in need at Christmas, help us help them. Don't forget to leave us a Christmas message with your donation. Every £2 will add up and we'll get to that target in no time."

To donate, visit the band's JustGiving page.

You can also donate £2 by texting the words ONED99£2 to 70070 (£2 will be deducted from your bill/credit).

Text Santa airs live on UTV on Friday 20 December from 8pm.

The terms and conditions for the Text Santa Appeal 2013 Donation Service can be found here. To find out more about Text Santa, go to www.u.tv/textsanta.
