Boy band One Direction are the latest pop stars to get the comic book treatment.

One Direction are comic book stars

The What Makes You Beautiful hitmakers will be transformed into animated characters for Fame: One Direction, which will chronicle their rise to stardom after they got their big break on U.K. TV talent show The X Factor.

One Direction aren't the first singers to appear in a BlueWater Productions comic - Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Madonna and Britney Spears have all been immortalised in the firm's graphic novels.
