The blonde beauty, who plays socialite Serena van der Woodsen in the hit TV show, kept her colleagues in the dark about her plans to marry Ryan Reynolds in an intimate ceremony in South Carolina on 9 September.
However, the newlywed was in for a surprise when she went back to work in New York City on Monday - the cast and crew congratulated Lively by raising glasses of Champagne, which was actually ginger ale, while shooting a scene.
A source tells People.com: "(The producer) said, 'Someone got hitched! Mazel tov!' Blake said, 'I know, I heard,' and then laughed and said, 'Thank you so much!'"
It has since emerged that the Hollywood stars, who met on the set of The Green Lantern, obtained a marriage licence four days after their nuptials, and officially exchanged vows privately on Friday.
