A new official trailer for the upcoming movie Dracula Untold - which was mainly filmed in Belfast - has been released.

The film stars Luke Evans, who featured in Fast and Furious 6, and Dominic Cooper, well known for his roles in Mamma Mia and My Week with Marilyn.

Also starring in the Dracula origin story are Game of Thrones actors Charles Dance and Art Parkinson.

The film will also be the final feature for Belfast actor J.J Murphy, who passed away in August.

The adaptation is directed by Irishman Gary Shore and produced by Michael De Luca, who also worked on high profile films such as Moneyball and Oscar-winning The Social Network.

Production on the film took place in Belfast during a three month period from August last year.

Various locations throughout Northern Ireland were also used in the movie, including the Roe Valley Country Park in Limavady and Tollymore Forest Park, Co Down.

Dracula Untold is due for release in cinemas from 3 October.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies is sure to please its legions of ardent fans but I feel decidedly underwhelmed by director Peter Jackson's final chapter.
