Ballymena-born actor Liam Neeson has told UTV filming the new A-Team movie was "great craic", ahead of its cinema release.
We’re sorry. This video is unavailable from your location.
The film, based on the television series of the same name, follows the adventures of a group of ex-US Special Forces on the run from the military after being wrongly accused of war crimes.
The 'soldiers of fortune' are led by cigar-smoking, silver-haired John Smith - better known as Hannibal and played by Neeson (complete with convincing wig). Casting directors were understood to be looking for someone who "exuded power, confidence and authority" to take on the role.
"Oh please ..." Neeson laughed. "Sure, that's me."
"It is him," his co-star Bradley Cooper, who plays Templeton 'Face' Peck, nodded.
Faced with taking on such a cult classic, Neeson admitted he was somewhat apprehensive.
"A little bit," he told UTV. "I mean it was just a wonderful script and Joe Carnahan was director ... Bradley was going to get involved too ... I was just like, okay, this is a no-brainer."
The pair are joined by former UFC star Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson as Bosco B.A. Baracus, Sharlto Copley as 'Howling Mad' Murdock, and Jessica Biel as Face's ex-girlfriend Charisa Sosa.
And it seems that the cast had a blast - literally. 'Blowing stuff up' has always been key to the A-Team franchise and there was certainly plenty of action on set.
Stunts
"We had a great team, a fantastic team of stunt guys who did all those big serious things," Neeson said.
"I did a little bit of my own fighting, which I like to do - but I wouldn't call that stunts.
"We're surrounded by an extraordinary team of guys and girls who make us all look good."
As the Ballymena man told UTV the craic was great, it was evident the cast got on well.
"That was the great thing - every day, just to be with these guys," he said, exchanging a grin with Cooper - who added that he could not imagine doing something as draining as an action film with people he "didn't thoroughly enjoy being with".
"When you do a movie with someone, you get to know them very fast because you see all of their personality," Cooper said.
"We liked every facet of each other."
Without giving too much away, the end of the new film seems to suggest a sequel could be in the pipeline ... But how would the cast feel about relocating the A-Team to Belfast?
"Done. We'll do it," Cooper told UTV.
"We'd have a good time there," Neeson added.
