The rocker, who says the whole experience was "just nuts", is still determined to make music his career and is enjoying seeing a surge of interest in his band Wanted Alive off the back of the show.

And fans can expect to see some Led Zepplin added to their repertoire, after Jeff confessed singing their hit Whole Lotta Love was his number one highlight.

"That was the most nerve-wracking one," he said.

"But just to get to sing a Led Zepplin song live on TV was the coolest thing."

Jeff also told UTV he didn't mind the 'Baby Jesus' moniker, picked up because the 21-year-old was the youngest of the Superstar hopefuls.

"Everyone definitely knows I was the youngest!" he laughed.

"It was nice to sort of have a little tagline."

Thank you so much, everybody, for your support - it's been just overwhelming!

Jeff, who has already played Jesus in an amateur production of Jesus Christ Superstar in the Opera House in Belfast, is now looking forward to seeing Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber's cast in action.

With newly crowned winner Ben Forster as Jesus, the musical also stars DJ Chris Moyles as King Herod, comedian Tim Minchin as Judas Iscariot and former Spice Girl Mel C as Mary Magdalene.

"I'm hoping for a backstage pass, if I'm honest," Jeff declared. "That would be awesome!"

He's also full of praise for director Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, who "may have been a bit blunt, but at least he put people out of their misery quickly" when deciding who to keep in the Superstar finals.

"The most touching thing was that he said to us all on the last day: 'I hope you'll all see me now as a friend'," Jeff added.

According to the singer, his band - who have two tracks available on iTunes - have increased their following recently and that's going to be his focus right now.

"We got a big following on Twitter from the show - people from America, all over the UK and Ireland," Jeff said.

"It's just brilliant that people are buying our songs."

Jesus Christ Superstar comes to the Odyssey Arena on 9 October.
