The 15-strong group took to the stage at Belfast's Waterfront Hall to show Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams Irish Dancing with a twist, as they performed to a medley of contemporary dance tunes.

"This is why I wanted to come to Belfast" Simon Cowell told them, following their energetic audition.

He added: "I've got to tell you I absolutely loved that."

Amanda said: "Its tradition with a twist and it completely and utterly worked, congratulations and well done."

Viewers will now have to wait to find out whether the Portstewart based group, aged 15-23, have been put through to the live semi-finals next month.

Also on The Magazine this week, Music Promoter & Writer, Paul Charles is on the sofa to talk about his book The Lonesome Heart is Angry, which is a work of fiction set in 1960s rural Ireland.

Over the years, Magherafelt man Paul has worked with Tom Waits, Van Morrison, Ray Davies, Elvis Costello and The Kinks.

Meanwhile, following the NABBA Northern Ireland Body Building Championships this weekend, The Magazine speaks to organiser Dave Warner and the overall winner, who will go forward to Mr & Mrs Universe contest and the World Body Building Championships.

Sarah will find out about the popularity of body building and questions recent headlines about increased steroid use.

A busy Sarah will also meet four garden designers who were set the challenge of designing a UTV Magazine garden.

They are competing as part of Garden Show Ireland and the winner will be announced on a Magazine Garden Special, from Antrim Castle Gardens, on Friday 9 May.

And finally, The Magazine will be celebrating People Like You by surprising Ivy and Fred Cowan, devoted parents to Michelle, who lives with a severe form of ME.

Michelle recently received two Essential Skills awards and says her success in education and in life, is down to the support and love from her parents.

Catch The Magazine on Monday at 8pm on UTV - viewers can follow all the action by tweeting along with @UTVMag during the show using the hashtag #utvmag.
