The former Beatles star was forced to cancel a number of gigs in the States due to ill health.
The singer has been recovering in London, after taking ill in Tokyo where he spent almost a week in hospital due to a virus.
He was forced to cancel his Japan leg of the tour along with a show in South Korea.
But now his spokesman has said the 71-year old - who turns 72 next week - was "fine" and "the tour resumes in July."
McCartney was due to start his US tour in Lubbock Texas on 14 June but said in a statement that on doctors' advice he was resting a little longer.
A post on his official website read: "I'm sorry but it's going to be a few more weeks before we get rocking in America again. I'm feeling great but taking my docs' advice to take it easy for just a few more days. Look forward to seeing you all soon."
