The veteran star snapped up the outfits she wore as boozy fashionista Patsy Stone after the hit sitcom wrapped, but she decided to clear out her closet and sell the iconic garments for The Prince's Trust, which helps disadvantaged children in the UK.

Lumley also sold several of her own designer pieces, including a suit she wore to the Prince's wedding to Camilla Parker Bowles in 2005.

After the sale at Kerry Taylor Auctions in London on Tuesday, she told reporters: "It was huge fun selling off some of my most famous wardrobe treasures. I'm thrilled that the clothes will get a second life with their new owners and that young people will benefit from the funds the sale has contributed to The Prince's Trust.

"It's sad to say goodbye to some of my favourite clothes, but I can keep the happy memories they represent, and the money raised will help vital work to support young people across the UK., so everybody wins!"
