The singer won his place in the final last weekend after a tense sing-off with fourth placed act Rough Copy.
Luke will take to the stage at Wembley Arena on Saturday to sing two numbers and will also perform a duet with chart superstar Ellie Goulding.
"My plan for dealing with the pressure is to just have fun," he said.
"I really want to win but I also want to enjoy it. I really love the songs I'm singing this weekend and I'm so excited about my duet with Ellie Goulding. I was rehearsing with her at her house and I felt honoured.
"Being told I am the dark horse of the competition is a huge compliment because it shows I didn't peak too soon. I think I started coming out of the woodwork a little way in - I just became more comfortable in interviews and in front of cameras which really helps.
"I can't wait to get out there tomorrow and rock it - I just hope the viewers love it enough."
Luke faces competition from fellow Boys category hopeful Nicholas McDonald and competition favourite Sam Bailey.
And he insists that they are the best of friends - but he will give everything he has to win the X Factor crown.
Luke admitted: "This weekend is really daunting because we really are all the best of friends - but when it comes down to it, we have to try and beat each other.
"It's not something you can just get around - you just have to get on with it. That's the reality of it and it is hard. Luckily we all understand that and wish each other the best of luck.
"This competition means everything to me," he added.
"I feel like I've come so far now, it's a serious competition for us all. I think there comes a point when you realise anyone could win this - and for me that happened at around Week Five - once it hits that you be the winner of The X Factor, it begins to mean the world."
The X Factor final airs on UTV on Saturday from 8pm and Sunday from 7.30pm.
