The embattled actress faces three charges, including giving false information to a police officer and reckless driving, relating to the June 2012 accident, and she had hoped to work out an agreement with prosecutors that would keep her out of jail after her lawyer failed to have the counts dismissed earlier this month.
However, negotiations have broken down and now the Mean Girls star is expected to appear in court on Monday as a jury trial gets underway, reports the New York Daily News.
The three accusations carry a total jail sentence of over 240 days. The incident could also land her in trouble for violating her probation from a 2011 jewellery theft conviction.
