Filming on upcoming movie musical Les Miserables has reportedly been delayed after Sacha Baron Cohen lost his voice.

Les Miserables filming delayed

The funnyman plays thief Monsieur Thenardier in the Tom Hooper film, which also stars Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway and is due for release in December.

But the shoot has been pushed back to allow Cohen time to rest his vocal cords, according to The Sun.

A source tells the publication: "Sacha is taking some time out. It's a real shame because the new shooting dates have resulted in some singers becoming unavailable as they have prior engagements which have to be fulfilled first."
