The singer/actress was rumoured to be seeing the Gladiator hunk after they were photographed working out together, but Barks is actually in a relationship with the daytime presenter.
According The Sun, Barks has yet to go public with her romance but she has been with the 30-year-old for "several months" and even attended the Elle Style Awards in London with him last month.
A source tells the publication: "They have been keen to keep things quiet but they are absolutely besotted with each other."
Crowe took to Twitter on Monday to dismiss speculation about his relationship with Les Miserables co-star Barks, writing: "Apparently we are an item according to Aussie magazines... Sorry about that Sammi."
