Leona Lewis has recorded the signature song for eagerly anticipated science fiction film Avatar.
The former X Factor winner will sing the track I See You during the closing credits of director James Cameron's upcoming movie, which is expected to set new standards in big screen special effects
A message on Leona's website said: "We are proud to announce that Leona will record the signature song to the upcoming science fiction film, Avatar."
It said James Horner and Simon Franglen, the men behind Celine Dion's massive hit My Heart Will Go On from 1997 film Titanic, will be producing the new track.
Atlantic Records said the song would be released on the film's soundtrack, Avatar: Music From The Motion Picture, in December.
Avatar, which stars Sigourney Weaver and Sam Worthington, is about an alien race defending their land against human invasion and will be released in December.
