Lady Gaga battled through illness at her gig in Spain on Saturday and refused to halt the show even after vomiting on stage.

Lady Gaga vomits on stage in Spain

The pop superstar took her Born This Way Ball concerts to Barcelona, but the singer struggled throughout her performance and was caught on camera throwing up mid-song.

Gaga walked to the end of the stage during a rendition of her hit track The Edge of Glory and turned her back to the audience as she stood behind a dancer to vomit several times.

However, the Poker Face star refused to let her sickness stop the show and continued until the end.

After the gig, she wrote in a post on Twitter: "Spain, you took the p**s outta me. That's some hard bodied pop stuff. I'll never forget tonight Barcelona. Forever."

She returned to the site on Monday and poked fun at the incident by linking to a video of the night, adding: "Was praying nobody saw but actually it's quite a good laugh if u (sic) need one! Check out Lady PukeGA (sic) doing Swan 'Vomit' Lake. I still hit my routine mom!!"

The news comes just days after teenage pop star Justin Bieber suffered similar problems as he kicked off his Believe tour in Arizona - the singer vomited in front of the crowd after eating pasta and drinking milk shortly before taking to the stage.
