Keira Knightley's racy Chanel commercial has been banned during kids' TV programming in the UK due to its "sexually suggestive" content.

Keira Knightley's Chanel ad too suggestive

The advertisement for the French fashion house's Coco Mademoiselle fragrance shows the Atonement beauty being photographed on a bed before a male model unzips her clothes.

It has been shown on TV in the UK since 2011, but a concerned viewer recently complained to Britain's Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) after it was screened during the family film Ice Age 2.

Bosses at the ASA re-evaluated the times the promo is broadcast and have decided to ban it from being aired between children-focused shows and films.

A statement from the watchdog reads: "We considered the ad was suitable for older children, but that the sexually suggestive material was unsuitable for young children. We therefore concluded that the ad was inappropriately scheduled and an ex-kids restriction should have been applied to prevent the ad from being broadcast in or around children's programming."
