Boyzone star Ronan Keating has shot down reports he's moving to Australia in the wake of his marriage split.

Keating to remain in Ireland after split

The Irish singer was rumoured to be relocating to Sydney after recently announcing that he and his wife Yvonne have ended their relationship.

Keating spends several months Down Under serving as a judge on the Aussie version of The X Factor, but he insists he's staying in Ireland with his children Jack, 13, Marie, 11, and six-year-old Ali.

In a post on his Twitter page, he writes: "I hear some papers are saying I plan on moving to Oz. Great country but my kids live in Ireland and so will I."

Keating confirmed on Sunday that he and Yvonne had separated last year but kept the news a secret for the sake of their family.

He tweeted to fans: "Sadly our news is true. Thank u (sic) all for your support. Yvonne and I still love and care for each other and want to protect our kids."

The couple first parted ways in 2010 amid allegations Keating had enjoyed a fling with a dancer but they rekindled their romance.
