Katie Price's husband has defended her failed bid for chart success and said her single was "like a Kylie Minogue track".

Alex Reid said Free To Love Again, which limped to number 60 in the singles charts, deserved better.

He told OK magazine: "I loved it. It's such a shame that nobody gave her a chance.

"I thought it was like a Kylie Minogue track."

The former glamour model - aka Jordan - admitted her own doubts about her musical talent while promoting the song in June.

She used her Twitter feed to tell her fans to look for a snippet of the track on YouTube, but added: "I'm not the best singer, but having so much fun doing it."

Price previously had a crack at chart success with an attempt to represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005, which left TV viewers less than impressed.

She also performed with ex-husband Peter Andre with a rendition of A Whole New World.
