Organisers announced earlier this week that shows across the UK would be delayed by up to seven months, saying this was due to high demand for tickets.
However an update on Friday said the tour would no longer be coming to the Odyssey Arena on 19 March and O2 Arena on 21 March as planned.
A statement said: "Due to circumstances beyond their control RUG and AEG are rescheduling the "Jesus Christ Superstar" arena tour. This is due to the enormous demand across the Globe with tours in Australia, Europe and USA to be announced soon.
"Unfortunately, it has not been possible to reschedule the Belfast and Dublin Shows originally planned for 19 and 21 March respectively."
It apologised to customers and added that refunds will be available from point of purchase.
The UK arena tour was to feature a rebooted version of Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar stage show, starring Melanie Chisholm.
The production debuted at London's O2 Arena last September after a talent show hunt was aired on UTV to find an unknown performer to play Jesus Christ.
