Jedward will go head-to-head at an awards ceremony with X Factor judges Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh.

The Irish twins, ejected from the TV talent show last month, were nominated for Funniest Double Act at the Loaded Laftas.

Walsh, who mentored 18-year-olds John and Edward Grimes before they were booted off the show, is also up for the title alongside rival judge Cowell.

Other double acts include 6 Music presenters Adam and Joe, comedy duo Alexander Armstrong and Ben Miller, plus Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer.

Comedian Michael McIntyre leads the nominations in four categories, Funniest Man, TV Show, Stand Up and DVD.

The awards, which like the shortlist are voted for by the public, take place in central London on January 27th.
