Sir Mick Jagger is finding comfort following the death of his fashion designer girlfriend L'Wren Scott, thanks to the newest additions to his family.

Jagger finds comfort with new grandkids

The Rolling Stones frontman was left devastated after his long-term partner took her own life at her apartment in New York City in March.

But in the following months, Jagger had two reasons to celebrate - his daughter Jade, 42, gave birth to her third child, son Ray, and her daughter, Assisi, 21, welcomed the rocker's first great-grandchild, Ezra Key.

In an interview with Hello! magazine, Jade reveals having the two new bundles of joy around have made the rocker's grieving process much easier to handle.

She said: "My dad loves babies. He's really good with them and is a big family man. He's been through a difficult time but it's been great to have two new babies in the family with the joy they bring."

Jagger has seven children from four relationships, ranging aged from 14 to 43.
