Steve Gill is evicted from the Big Brother house
Steve became the first of four housemates to be booted out of the Big Brother house on Friday night as the 11th series enters its closing stages.

The audience gave the ex-serviceman a resounding cheer as he left the house and gave the crowd the thumbs-up.

Steve was injured by a bomb in 1989 while on patrol in Belfast. He lost both of his legs as well as an eye. He now wears a black glass eye which his kids love as he looks like a pirate.

Corin, who was the bookies' second favourite to win the show, was the second housemate to be evicted, while graffiti artist Sam Pepper was the third contestant to leave the house.

Latecomer Sam, 21, a vegetarian, who lives with his grandparents in Kent, entered the house at the end of July and has been causing mischief since his arrival.

John James was the fourth and final housemate kicked out.

Meanwhile, Andrew was told he had secured a spot in the final.

He joined Josie after she was chosen by housemates to receive a free ticket, which will be held sooner than originally planned, on 24 August.

She is now 8/13 to win the series according to bookies.

Presenter Davina McCall also announced that Dave had made it through to the final - joining Josie, Andrew, Mario and JJ.
