After 19 days in the Australian outback, the public vote came down to the Made in Chelsea star and champion boxer David Haye.

And as the moody star spoke to Ant and Dec on leaving the jungle, he told them: "I kind of wanted to stay. I said I wanted to get to the final five and I'm really proud of myself."

Hugo got a hard time from other campers for being snappy and admitted to getting angry when he is hungry, but he said he found the jungle harder than he had anticipated.

"So many people can say it's really difficult but they don't go into the emotional side of it. It's such a roller-coaster."

"But as time went on I became calmer, more relaxed about things. I used to think if you got stressed you would be more productive but I've worked out it's actually the opposite," he added.

Hugo, who took part in three Bush Tucker Trials, described his campmates as "the nicest people in the world", adding that David had lost weight since joining the team.

That echoed a Dingo Dollar Challenge in which the celebrities had to guess whether former campmates Rosemary or Colin had lost the most weight while in the jungle.

Ashley, Eric and Charlie believed Colin had lost the two stones and three pounds, but they were astonished to hear that they had answered wrongly during the latest Dingo Dollar Challenge.

"You could see it across his face and the way he ran across that bridge. He lost that in 17 days that's just under two pounds a day, no way could Rosemary have lost that weight in five days less.

"He's a record holder, it's got to be Colin," said Eric.

David and Hugo, who competed in the challenge for their campmates, walked back empty-handed as David marvelled at the amount of weight the TV chef had dropped.

"In 15 days Rosemary lost 31 pounds, that's the equivalent of four babies weighing seven and a half pound.

"We thought it was Colin too, maybe he lost it around his face and Rosemary lost it round her stomach," suggested David.

While Ashley pondered Rosemary's pre-jungle diet, Eric said: "She must have been a pig."

Charlie piped up: "Credit where credit is due Eric."

He replied: "Credit? She doesn't really look any better with losing all that lot, she needs to lose a lot more yet."

Meanwhile Ashley and Charlie volunteered to take part in the latest Bushtucker trial, called The Jungle Walk of Shame.

They didn't smell very nice when they came back in but managed to earn four stars and secured the hindquarters of a hare for dinner.

Four celebrities also received letters from home as part of another challenge, with only Hugo missing out.

This year's Queen or King of the Jungle will be crowned on Saturday.
