The choir gave a rendition of See Him Lying On A Bed Of Straw, also known as the Calypso Carol, to close Monday night's UTV Live with a touch of festive cheer.

Holy Rosary's choir is made up of 40 children, ranging from P5-P7.

"We have sang in George Best City Airport, the Continental Market, various nursing homes in the area, cross-community carol services and at all Sacraments throughout the year," they said.

"Holy Rosary Primary School seeks to provide effective education for all our children, to develop meaningful pastoral care systems and to secure close links with home, parish and the wider community, firmly committed to the aims of Catholic Education."

On Friday night, Ballyholme Primary became the first choir to take part in UTV Live this Christmas.

Another four schools - Saints and Scholars Integrated Primary School, St Conor's Primary School, Irvinestown Primary School, and Holy Family Primary School and Nursery School - will all have their turn in the run-up to the holiday period.
