Actor John Challis has won a round in his battle against a children's home after complaining the troubled young residents were peeking in his windows.

The star, who played Boycie in TV comedy Only Fools And Horses, launched a bid to move Mill House after two unruly residents broke into his nearby home in the village of Adforton, England, earlier this year.

Police also revealed that 19 of the 26 crimes reported in Adforton between January and June involved teens from the centre.

Challis scored a small victory in his fight on Thursday after managers of the home promised to erect a 12-foot hedge to stop youngsters glaring into his mansion.

A director for the home previously vowed to compensate Challis for any incidents which have inconvenienced him and his wife Carol.
