VIDEO: UTV catches up with Game of Thrones filming in July 2012 at Shane's Castle, Co Antrim.
The cast of the HBO drama turned out on the red carpet in LA for the premiere of the highly-anticipated third season, which also saw on-screen husband and wife duo Khal Drogo (played by Jason Momoa) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) reunited.
Author George RR Martin, who penned the books the show is based on, was among those in attendance on Monday night - as was Sinn Féin deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness.
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, speaking to Access Hollywood, turned the conversation to the weather conditions in Northern Ireland where many of the scenes were shot.
"The weather in Northern Ireland is ... severe," he said of the experience.
"You would be surprised how meticulous the make-up artists are about the level of mud. Get it all the way into the ear, all the way in ..."
Not that he was complaining though.
"I really like it, being outdoors when you shot in the elements, 'cause it makes it easy - you just react to it," he added.
He doesn’t like to be in chains ...

But not surprisingly, the star was keeping schtum about what the future holds for his character Ser Jaime and reluctant travelling companion Brienne of Tarth.
Although fans of the books will already know what lies ahead ...
Last summer, UTV caught up with the cast and crew of Game of Thrones during filming at Shane's Castle in Co Antrim and both Nikolaj and Gwendoline Christie, who plays Brienne, were in action.
And one of the show's executive producers, Frank Doelger, told UTV that they were loving the locations they'd found in Northern Ireland - but the weather was "definitely a challenge".
Although, he did add: "I have to let you know that we've been rained out in Malta, we've been rained out in Croatia, we've been snowed out in Iceland.
"So all the other areas that we've gone to have been challenging as well."
Game of Thrones season three premieres in the UK on 1 April, one day after the US.
