The former Oasis star is on tour in South America and headed to a bar in Santiago, Chile to watch the crunch final day of the season as his team needed to win to scoop its first league title for 44 years.
In a thrilling climax, his side came from behind to score two last-gasp goals and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat - and Gallagher has confessed he was overcome with emotion watching the scenes of triumph.
He tells the BBC: "We arrived in Santiago and a friend of ours opened his bar early so we could watch it. It started off tense, then it went from tense into elation and then back to tension...
"Right before we scored, I thought: 'We need it now, if we're going to do it, we need to do it now'... I don't know what happened after that, there was a lot of swearing... My mate tried to pull the TV off the wall. I swore a lot and then I cried like a baby because I've never seen anything like that before. It was mindblowing."
