Colin Farrell attended the European premiere of Neil Jordan's new Film, Ondine, at the Savoy Cinema in Dublin with girlfriend Alicja Bachleda on Thursday night.
The premiere of Ondine marked the opening of the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival.
The modern fairytale follows a Cork fisherman trawling off the Irish coast who discovers a woman in his fishing net who he believes is a mermaid.
She appears to be dead but, miraculously, comes back to life before his eyes.
Ondine effortlessly mixes myth and fantasy with the life of a fishing community on the jagged seascapes of the wild southwest.
Farrell and Polish co-star Bachleda fell in love during filming and welcomed a son, Henry, last October.
The actor, who says he has put his wild ways behind him, beamed at the waiting crowd as he strolled the Dublin red carpet for the first time in two years.
