The former model, who was married to the rock star for eight years in the 1970s, gave birth to the Moon moviemaker in 1971 but now admits she hasn't been able to play mum to him since shortly after she and Bowie divorced in 1980.
Promoting her new book Lipstick Legends on BlogTalkRadio.com, Bowie reveals: "I haven't seen Duncan since he was 11 maybe, but that's life; some people are very unpleasant when they get divorced."
But she keeps in touch with her son's films, adding: "I've seen Moon and I'm looking forward to the next one (movie). He was a very talented boy when he was little and he's very talented now that he's big."
