The singer was flying from her native Melbourne to Sydney when a severe thunderstorm broke out and she spotted a bolt clip the plane.
Minogue, who had her 18-month-old son Ethan with her, was convinced she was going to die, insisting: "It happened right next to where I was sitting. I was terrified - I thought it was all over."
However, the star admits she was the only passenger who was panicked about the rainstorm.
She adds: "No one else seemed worried, which was strange."
