Cowell 'dreads' son's audition plea

Britain's Got Talent judge Simon Cowell has admitted he is "dreading" the day his son Eric wants to audition on one of his shows.

Eric was born on Valentine's Day, prompting Cowell to leave the Britain's Got Talent auditions in London and fly across the Atlantic Ocean to New York.Speaking at the launch of the talent show on Wednesday, he said: "Give him a couple of years! I'm kind of dreading that moment - 'Daddy, can I go on one of your shows?'"Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden faced the media alongside their pet dogs, though Cowell doesn't thing his pooches Squiddly and Diddly would be auditioning any time soon either.Certain they would not be repeating the success of previous winners Ashleigh and Pudsey, he said: "At the moment I can't even get them to sit, never mind be dancing dogs. They are literally the worst-behaved dogs I've ever met in my life. That's why I love them though."The new series of Britain's Got Talent starts on Saturday and Cowell said Dixon would be a "great" addition to his other hit show - The X Factor. He said: "Do you know what I think? She'd be a great judge but I don't know whether she'd want to because she likes doing Got Talent. We talked about it two years ago".He laughed off a lot of the rumoured names that have been linked to the singing show, saying: "In terms of the rumours - Rita Ora no, Rihanna we never spoke to, Louis I would like to come back."It's a decision I've got to make with the producers and ITV so we'll see what happens."Britain's Got Talent returns to UTV on Saturday 12 April at 7.15pm.
