The actor has been speaking to This Morning ahead of his debut in Weatherfield on Monday. He told Phillip and Holly: "It is absolutely a dream come true for me, it has been my favourite show since forever. "To actually go into it and be accepted as an actor in it...it was the biggest thing on my wish list."Les arrives on the street as petty thief Michael Rodwell, but the star insists there is more to his character than meets the eye..."Basically he turns up at the window of Gail McIntyre's house and he tries to steal some stuff, gets away with a few things and tries to talk himself out of (the situation) as Gail comes in and then she clocks it...so he has to run."He's a bit of an opportunist. Basically he is burgling, but he has hit on hard times, he's had some tragedy in his life and he just thinks "well, they're insured, so if I take a laptop nobody gets hurts"."But what he doesn't realise is the effect he is having on Gail and the impact and the violation of having been burgled."After his appearance during Monday's episodes of Coronation Street, viewers will have to wait a while before he returns and the intriguing new storyline is expanded. Les explained: "I've done the two episodes that are out (on Monday) and then I know the idea of what's going to happen, but I haven't filmed anymore."
