But while some know their way around a wicket and others haven't a clue, there is set to be as much drama off the field as on.

First off, Steve continues his rivalry with the landlord of The Flying Horse, Dean Upton, who continues to rile him up.

Actor Simon Gregson explains: "There's a massive row between Steve and Dean, he's been eying up his girlfriend Michelle and everything!"

It's also a big day for Kal as the rest of the Nazir family, including son Zeedan, as they all join in on the fun.

It will be the first time Zeedan meets Kal's new girlfriend Leanne and he is not happy with the situation.

New Corrie actor Qasim Akhtar, who plays Zeedan said: "He hates the fact that his dad is in a relationship with a girl who's got a bit of a past.

"There will be plenty of fireworks at the cricket," he warned.

Coronation Street airs on UTV on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday this week from 7.30pm.
