Corrie actor to be a father again

Coronation Street actor John Thomson and his wife Sam are expecting a baby after conceiving naturally following three unsuccessful IVF attempts.

Sam is three months pregnant and she and Thomson, 40, who plays children's entertainer Jesse Chadwick in the soap, were said to be "overjoyed".

A spokeswoman for Thomson confirmed: "The Thomson family are overjoyed.

"Sam is three months pregnant after three failed IVF treatments."

The couple already have a six-year-old daughter named Olivia.
